1- What is a Keepsake Links Medallion?

A Keepsake Links Medallion is a QR-coded label.  It is a flexible, weather resistant, aluminum metal photo label measuring, one square inch (1” by 1”).  It has an adhesive 3M backing with rounded corners.

Your story will be linked by a QR code onto this label.

QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response code) is a type of matrix barcode (or two-dimensional barcode). It is a machine-readable optical label that contains information about the item to which it is attached.

Using a smartphone, simply read the QR code of the label to view the story, images and videos associated with it from your story. 

2- Free Trial:

How does the free trial work?

You can try Keepsake Links for free for 14 days. You can start your trial by registering. There is no need to enter any billing or payment information to start a free trial. During the 14-day free trial, you will be able to use the web app to create your story, add pictures and videos and get familiar with app before making a decision.

What happens when my free trial ends?

After your 14-day trial period, you will be notified by email if you would like to continue to purchase a Keepsake Link Medallion. 

What happens if I decide to complete the purchase?

Once you have made your purchase, your site will become live and the story you created will be linked to your medallion (label) by a QR code.  The medallion will then be ordered.  You should receive your medallion within 2 weeks and once received you can adhere it to your treasure/object.  Of course, anytime during the 14-day trial period you will be able to make a purchase. 

What happens if I decide not to purchase Keepsake Links Medallion?

If after the 14-day trial period you do not want to purchase a label, all your personal information will be archived and eventually erased

3- Creating Your Story:

How can I create a story?

After starting our 14-day Free Trial you will have access to your account where you will be able to customize your own story. by clicking in the Customize your free trial story button you will be taken to other screen where you can add your story details. You can add unlimited text, unlimited videos from YouTube and unlimited pictures.

How to upload/add videos to and from YouTube to my Keepsake Links Story?

In order to upload videos to your story these videos must be hosted on YouTube. if they are not hosted on YouTube please check this tutorial link on how to upload a video to YouTube.

If your video is already hosted in YouTube, go to the video you want to add and     simply copy the unique web address from the address bar at the top of your browser and paste it into the place that is requesting your video URL.

What is URL?

URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. A URL is nothing more than the address of a given unique resource on the Web. Example https://www.google.com/

How to link my Keepsake Links Medallion to an external URL?

In order to link your Keepsake Links Medallion to an external URL find the Keepsake Links Medallion whose destination you want to change. Click the change destination button.  In order to place the URL correctly go to website that you want your Keepsake Links Medallion to be linked to and simply copy the unique web address from the address bar at the top of your browser and paste it into the place that is requesting your new URL.

How can I place my first order?

The easiest way to order one Keepsake Links Medallion is by clicking the buy now button on the navigation menu.

What is a duplicate medallion?

Duplicates are copies of an original Keepsake Links Medallion that you have already purchased.  Duplicate labels will be directed to the same story profile rather than a unique one. These duplicates are offered at a substantially reduced price.

Duplicate Keepsake Links Medallions are ideal for customers who want to share the same story on similar or different objects. For example, you may wish to have duplicate labels to put on team awards.    

How do I order Keepsake Links Medallions duplicates?

To order one or multiple Keepsake Links duplicates go to your account and click the order a duplicate button beside the label that you want to reproduce. From there you will be redirect to the shopping cart.

When I am going to receive my Keepsake Links Medallion?

Your medallion will be shipped by regular mail.  You should receive it within 2 weeks. If you need this at an earlier day please contact us before purchasing to make the shipping arrangement.

5- Installing your Keepsake Links Medallion:

Our medallions can be installed on any flat or slightly curved, smooth surface by peeling off the protective backing. Make sure that the surface where this will be it is free of any dirt or other obstructions. 

6 - Reading a Keepsake Links Medallion:

In order to read the QR-coded medallions (labels) just have the camera of your cell phone (or other device ie: tablet) hover over the label and you will be linked to your story. In older cell phone you may have to download a QR code reader and scan the code.  But many cell phones already come with this feature built into the camera.   

What happens if my phone camera cannot read my Keepsake Links Medallion?

If your phone is not able to read the QR code, there are many barcode reading applications available for free on the iPhone and Android markets with various features.  Find the one that works well for your device.

7- Warranties:

Can I return my Keepsake Links Medallion?

If you are not 100% satisfied with your Keepsake Links Medallion, just return it within the first 30 day to receive a full refund.

8- Out of Business:

What happens if you are no longer in business?

We are a company that has been evolving in recent years, adapting to all technological and structural changes.  We have a solid business model that projects long-term success. But as with all businesses, there are no absolute guarantees. If Keepsake Links goes out of business, we will ensure that all your information is returned to you. 

9- Change in Technology:

What happens if QR codes are not useful anymore?

If QR codes become a non-viable or obsolete technology, we have a trained team of specialists capable of addressing this issue and finding a solution.
